Need For Speed III Challenge #2
4/08/99 "Mr Scary" has arrived and is posting new records 3/12/99 Deathogram smashes my Atlantica record, download his ghost for a real challenge. A slight change to our format, Instead of a single lap around the track, run a default (forward, no assists, no tuning, no weather, no traffic) two lap race. If you set at Gamma Challenge record, save your ghost file (.gst) and email it in along with your time. I'll post the ghost file for download so rest of us can race against it and see how you did it. To compete against a ghost, down load the .gst file into you nfs3/FeData/save directory and load the ghost file to start up the race. Go ahead and sent in your times whether you set a record or not, but to avoid filling my mailbox, don't send the ghost file unless you set the record. To set a record lap, you had to have a good start which meant crossing the start/finish line are 160 mph anyway, which usually meant have two good laps in a row. Our new format will allow the ghost files to be of used by the rest of us who are struggling to wrest the best time from your grasp. Again there are two challenges, Class B and Unrestricted Class. |

B Race a Class B car (all tuning set to default) on any track, with no assists or cheat codes. I will have to rely on your honor for that. Report your time here and the car you drove and I will periodically update a table of Class B records. Since tuning, cheats and assists are not allowed during multiplayer games, this table will be of interest to those coming to the next Gammathon. |
| Unrestricted
Class If you just love that class A super car and can't refrain from cheat codes, assists or tuning, go ahead. Just let signify this when you post your best time and I will compile a seperate table of Unrestricted Class records. I am sort of curious to see an El Nino racing through Home Town at 250mph. |
